Made Reserve Champion
with The Reno Rodeo Drill Team in Santa Rosa, CA last September
2009..................Painter is suitable for anyone that knows how to
ride........... He is very well broke and it takes a person with good
riding skills...... He is Awesome! He was trained for Western Pleasure
and shown in the TVPHC 2 year old Western Pleasure Futurity and placed
3rd out of 11 in the class. Since then I rode him as a "Pen
Back" Horse at the Emmett Valley Sales Yard for 4 years sorting,
gathering and penning Cattle...................He can side pass and open
and close gates as fast as you want (both left and right) He's also been
roped off of. He's enthusiastic out on the
trail. He's been ridden in the mountains, crossing rivers and ridden in
the desert. Best suited for Arena work, however he will do
anything that is asked from him. He
never forgot the "Slow" legged walk, trot and canter - no
matter where he is.
You can speed him up or slow him down. I also rode him in "Team Penning", and I
belonged to the Black Jack Drill Team and he did very well. Plus he has
carried flags in Grand Entry Rodeos and ridden in several Parades. His
name is: Paint N Smoke and I call him "Painter" He has never
offered to buck, strike, bite or kick. He's been well cared for his
entire life.
